Dan MacDonald sings the role of Jesus, and solo and vocal quartet singing by Dawn Holt Lauber, Gayle Bisesi, Matt Bowker and Jon Negus. Choir includes Beverly Coleman and Lakeside Singers Angel Barrette, Lisa Bowker, Melissa Smithson, Andy Distel, Bill Balmer and Luke Bruschuk. Justin Sisul is the conductor. The band includes Bobby Lewis, Bobby Schiff, Andy Tecson, Ken Jandes, Jerry Coleman, Stewart Miller, Tim Coffman, Geraldo DeOliveira, Mark Olen, John Blane, Pat Ferreri and Jerry DeMuzio.

Join us at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 17, for a concert of Jazz Psalms at Grace Lutheran Church, 7300 W. Division, River Forest. Admission is free. A homily will be given by Dr. Martin E. Marty, author of over 60 books, University of Chicago Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus, and recipient of medals for his contributions to the humanities from Presidents Carter and Clinton. A free will offering will support the ministry of Lutheran Social Services of Illinois, which arranges for transportation for children to travel from Chicago for visits with their mothers in downstate prisons, giving the mothers and children a chance to spend time together reading books and visiting. Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois will also be a beneficiary of this service. Andy Tecson composed this music 30 years ago, and it features some of the best jazz musicians in Chicago along with a fantastic choir.
